Leesa Mattresses
You spend half your life in your bed — so you better love the mattress you’re sleeping on. And if you don’t love yours already, I have a strong recommendation: Buy a Leesa Hybrid.
A night to remember
I had the best night's sleep of my life at a hotel in NYC called The Made. It’s a super cool, trendy hotel in Chelsea – you can read more about it here. After the weekend of my most perfect slumber, I went on a hunt to learn who made the mattress that made me such a happy man.
It was soft, yet firm and supportive.
It hugged me in all the right places – regardless if I was sleeping on my back, side, or stomach.
I woke up each day with zero aches and pains – well except for maybe a hangover…it’s NYC, after all.
It turns out that the hotel uses Leesa Hybrid Mattresses (formerly called Leesa Sapira) in all their rooms.
Womp womp (sad trombone)
The last time I had to replace my mattress, I stuck with Serta because I have had great luck with their beds over the years. I upgraded and got one with all the bells and whistles. This thing was a beast of a mattress and felt AMAZING at first. Soft and supportive. Everything I was looking for and was used to. But… after about 4 years, it deteriorated, and I found it uncomfortable. It lost its support. It became too soft, and it started to get an indent towards the center. I was waking up with back pain every day. I rotated the mattress every few months. I regularly slept in different spots – although I somehow always woke up in the middle. I just couldn’t get it to be right for me anymore.
Slumber parties for days
When it came time for me to move into a two-bedroom apartment, I got a new mattress and knew exactly which one to get – The Leesa Hybrid. Then something funny started happening…When friends would stay over, they would completely take over the bed and essentially force me out of it because it was so comfortable. Now, when I have guests, I end up locking the bedroom door, so I can enjoy the bed all to myself!
Why you can feel good about this purchase
Here are a few highlights of what the Leesa Hybrid offers in benefits:
It has a 100-night risk free trial. If you don’t like it, call the customer service number, and the team will come to pick it up. You’ll get a full refund.
The mattress has a 10-year limited warranty, which includes cover defects and sagging. It does not cover the mattress becoming softer; however, given I found it perfect in a high traffic hotel, I think this thing will last a long time before deteriorating.
The company is charitable – they are a certified B Corporation. They donate one mattress for every ten sold.
The mattress is made to order, so you can be sure it is brand new – it’s made just for you! That doesn’t mean it takes weeks or months to make, so don’t worry, it comes FAST. Mine only took ten days from my order date to arrive. It’s shipped vacuum-sealed and rolled up in a box. Once removed from the packaging, it inflates to a regular-sized mattress in a matter of hours. Very weird to experience – but hey, it worked!
I’ve had it for about six months, and sleep like a baby on this thing EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. I never want to get up. And even better — no more waking up with back pain for me.
If you're looking for a new mattress – I HIGHLY recommend the Leesa Hybrid. If you want to give it a lie down before pulling the trigger, head over to one of the 88+ West Elm stores that carry the mattress, try it out for yourself. But when you're ready to buy — go online and purchase directly from Leesa; their customer service is incredible.
